China Film Group Film Distribution and Exhibition Corporation is one of the cornerstones of China Film Group. It’s business scope covers the nationwide distribution of domestic films, imported films, digital movies for rural areas, and 16mm films. The precursor of this company was the Domestic Distribution Department of China Film Corporation founded in 1951. Over the past more than 50 years, it has distributed more than 5,000 Chinese and foreign feature films, plus 20,000 reels of science films, documentaries and animations. It has remained the number one film distribution company in China either in terms of number of film distributed or the market share. The company has three business departments: the First and Second Operation and Management Center, who are in charge of the nationwide distribution of domestic and imported films, and the Third Operation and Management Center, who handles the development of the secondary markets, markets supervision and the nationwide distribution of digital movies for rural areas and 16mm films. |
