Women Sesame Oil Maker (xiang hun nv)

There is a sesame oil mill by beautiful Sesame Lake. The proprietress of the mill is an intelligent and capable woman with a hot temper. But deep down she is sad and lonely. Though she has been doing very well with the mill, which is a joint venture with Japan, she has never had a taste of a warm family life, for her husband is a violent drunkard and her son is mentally retarded. She has to look for comfort to her lover. She buys a pretty bride for her son at a high price. However, when her daughter-in-law discovers her secret and expresses sympathy, she resents it, puzzled and at a loss.
