Prostitute and Raftsman (bei lie pai bang)

The Japanese army mine Poyang Lake during their retreat in 1945. The mines floating beneath the water threaten the raftsmen who have lived by the lake for generations. An odd assortment of people at odds with each other – an old rafsman, a laundry woman, a country scholar, and old drummer and his grandson, together with a “living female corpse”, must all make the journey to Nanjing by raft. Facing a common enemy – the mines, they must ignore their differences and join forces.
