I Want a Home (wo xiang you ge jia)

This film tells a story of two women. A country girl Jiuzi comes to town alone seek a new and different life. Poor and utterly helpless, she finds herself in a dilemma, but happens to meet a high school teacher, Meng Bai. Out of sympathy, Meng brings her home and the two women begin a new life. Later, Jiuzi by chance becomes a rich pop star. And Meng Bai’s desire to go abroad is fulfilled. But unexpectedly Meng Bai’s hopes are shattered when she is abroad. Desperation forces her return to China, only to find her house has been pledged to pay Jiuzi’s debts. After going through all types of hardships, the two women re-discover the value of each other and return home again.
