The Dream of Zhao Baiwan (zhao bai wan meng huan qu)

Zhao Baiwan, manager of a small town enterprise, is a rich man but uneducated. His son Zhao Fengdeng is good for nothing. Luo Shanshan, daughter of the chief of the Commerce Bureau, is a college graduate. Zhao Baiwan attempts to marry his son off to Luo. Yet the Luos look down upon Zhao Fengdeng. Meanwhile, Yang Xiaobo, a driver, loves literature. He studies hard and writes articles. Zhao Baiwan tries to manipulate Yang so that the marriage can come off. The result is a tragtic comedy.
