A Narrow Escape from Death (si li tao sheng)

On the eve of the liberation, Bu Yaming, a secret agent from the Central Information Bureau (KMT), is assigned a secret mission know as “Satan”. His task is to deliver 50,000 silver dollars to KMT agents who are in hiding. He Xiaoguang, the adjutant to the commancer of the KMT’s 51st Division, but also an underground communist is sent to escort Bu and the money. On their way, they are in danger of losing the silver because of continual attacks by bandits and intrigues. Death shadows all those who’s passion are aroused by greed. All the escorting soldiers finally fall victim to “Satan”. He Xiaoguang clarifies the mysteries wrestling with Bu Yaming and eventually overcomes “Satan”.
