By ChinaFilm.com Published: 2008-06-03
During World War II, US air ace colonel Rogers, a member of the Southeast Asian Information Group, falls into the hands of the Japanese after an air battle over the Sino-Burmese border. The Japanese decide to send him at all cost to the Empire’s Southern HQ in Rangoon, under escort by a group of cruel and tricky special agents. The US Strategic Intelligence Bureau and China’s Expeditionary Forces organize several rescue missions, but all fail. They turn for help to the Western Guangxi Anti-Japanese National Detachment. A rescue team, made up of Chinese national minority warriors and Americans, set off into the tropical rain forests to engage the Japanese. They penetrate the enemy lines, defeat the Japanese special agents, and rescue colonel Rogers.
