Five Heroes of Tianqiao (wu hu chuang tian qiao)

In the 1920s, two groups of people descend on the Tianqiao district of Beijing. They are Min Chengxiang and Bao Guoping, descendants of the Yihetuan Movement warriors, and Man Jinzi and Xiao Dunzi, descendants of the Red Lantern female warriors, who once supported the Boxers. Each of the two groups possesses a mace handed down from heir forefathers – a Dragon Mace and Phoenix Mace respectively. They fight to decide the ownership of the two maces. Li Guangren, son of Li Changshui, the original owner, also comes to Tianqiao to look for the maces. The three parties struggle for the prize but the maces attract the attention of Tianqiao’s despots and the Japanese.
