The Four Horsemen (qi shi feng yun)

The story takes place in 1949, the year of the liberation of China. The Mongolian Prince of Turhut entrust his only daughter, Princess Nanslema, to deliver a message to the People’s Liberation Army, urging them to take concerted action and enter Xinjiang Province. A Kuomingtang cavalryman intercepts the secret message and kidnaps the Princess. The Prince of Turhut asks four heroic horsemen to save his daughter. They wage a battle to the death against the Kuomingtang cavalry.
