The 14 minute film Fernleaf Hedge Bamboo in the Moonlight was accepted by the 22nd London Film Festival which will run from March 27th to April 10th, 2008. The short film was debuted at the 18th Melbourne Film Festival in Australia. According to its director Wang Huiyue, this short film features a love story of the Dai, an ethnic minority in Xishuangbanna, Yunnan in southwestern China. The film, starring young actors Zhong Yunpeng, Chen Yuting and Ma Yuan from Yunnan, is also written and produced by the director, who works at the Yunnan Minority Film Studio. |
