The First China International New Media Cartoon Film and TV Festival

A press conference about the First China International New Media Cartoon Film and TV Festival was held in Beijing in February 2nd. Led by the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television, and co-sponsored by Shenzhen Radio, Film and Television Group and some other organizations, the festival will be held in Shenzhen from May 14th to 17th. It is the first time for China to hold such a magnificent event, which mainly promotes new media. There are four sections in the festival: competition, trade, forum and expo. The Jinpeng Award for China international new media shorts will be created for the best new media shorts which can have rewards. We note that China new media industry has a rapid growth in recent years. The total market value of it in 2008 amounted to 60 billion USD. The Chinese net surfers totaled 384 million, WAP phone surfers 200 million, and WAP phone TV 94 million in 2009. |
